An independent studio. One game live, one in development, and a stubborn preference for finishing things.
A fast, reflex-based arcade game built around one idea: dodge the red blocks for as long as you can. The rules take three seconds to learn and considerably longer to master — one mistake and it's over. Made for thirty-second sessions and just-one-more-try evenings.
A match-3 with a spine: levels, progression, and a rules engine that takes its own correctness seriously. Where Tap Dodge Rush is one idea done cleanly, this one is the bigger swing — hand-drawn art, a real campaign, and a match engine held to property-based invariants over thousands of generated boards.
It's being built slowly and on purpose. No launch date yet, and there won't be one until it's ready.
SeraphLight Studios is an independent game studio based in Charleston, South Carolina, founded and run by Erik Hill. We make small, focused games for Android — the kind you can learn in seconds and keep coming back to.
Everything here is built in-house: the code, the art, and the tooling that tests it. Tap Dodge Rush shipped to Google Play in April 2026 after two weeks of closed testing. An unannounced match-3 RPG is in development now.
We keep the scope small on purpose. A finished game that works on an old phone beats an ambitious one that never ships.
